Marble carpet

A marble carpet consists of millions of grains of marble. Their standard size is 1 to 4mm, 4 to 8 mm or 5 to 12 mm.

The small grains are selected by Sidec with the utmost care.

The marble stones are mixed with a binding agent. Afterwards, a professional installer spreads the small stones using a trowel.

We distinguish 5 different types of marble carpet:

Open marble carpet

For indoor areas where the likelihood of contamination is smaller, such as bedrooms, landings etc.

Closed marble carpet

For indoor areas where the likelihood of contamination is greater, such as toilets, kitchens, living rooms, offices etc., the pores are filled with a transparent filling

For the marble with the sieze of 4-8mm and 5-12mm, Sidec advises always to use a pore filler.

Indoor uv resistant open marble carpet

For indoor areas where a lot of light comes in and where the likelihood of contamination is smaller, such as bedrooms, landings etc.

In this system a high-quality non-yellowing PU binding agent is used.

Indoor uv resistant closed marble carpet

For indoor areas where a lot of light comes in and where the likelihood of contamination is great, such as kitchens, living rooms, offices etc, the pores are filled with a transparent filling

For the marble with the sieze of 4-8mm and 5-12mm, Sidec advises always to use a pore filler.

In this system a high-quality non-yellowing PU binding agent is used.

Outdoor marble carpet

For outdoor applications, such as terraces, alongside swimming pools etc.

In this system a high-quality non-yellowing PU binding agent is used.

In this system, there is no possibility to use a pore filler.
